We currently seeking a well-qualified candidate for Office / HR Clerk. They will perform routine clerical, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the organization.
Shift: Monday-Friday8:00am-4:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets and directs clients and visitors.
- Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
- Performs data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, HR, and confidential employee or departmental files.
- Receives and distributes packages and mail.
- Copies, collates, and otherwise prepares reports for mailings, meetings, and other correspondence.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation filing systems either manually or electronically.
- Maintain all additions/deletions and changes to employee benefits including life insurance, medical, and profit sharing
- Processes required paperwork for new hires, employee transfers, changes in job classification, and other related employment matters.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Trained as backup for various accounting tasks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Admin Assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
- High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
