This position requires an individual who can work well in a team environment, execute on a number of projects concurrently and be self-starter working with minimal supervision.
Typical duties will include:
- Client Meeting and Field Investigation to retrieve existing information.
- Communicating design direction and project goals with the team.
- Managing flow of information to and from client with the team.
- Manage project schedules, expectation and budgets.
- Conducting site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents, resolve design issues during the construction phase.
- Write proposals and work with accounting on project invoicing.
- Work with principal and department managers to schedule and backlog.
- Answering RFI’s, reviewing contractor submittals and performing periodic site visits to determine compliance with construction documents, and resolve design issues during the construction phase.
- Strategic planning.
- Generate new business and maintaining existing client relationships.
- Streamline business and engineering procedures.
- Maintain and improve quality control procedures.
- Attract and maintain staff for the local office.
This hands-on position requires an Office Director who wants to contribute from start to finish. Their work will begin from the first client discussions and continue through to the preparation of as-built drawings and collection of accounts receivable. They will be working with an established team of professionals who are recognized in their respective fields of work and committed to providing quality services.
Minimum Requirements for the position are as follows:
- B.S. degree in Engineering
- 15+ years MEP design/PM experience
- Active Professional Engineer License
- Candidates must have experience in the duties listed above.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at various stages of design and construction
- Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit is a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- LEED Accreditation is a plus
