Bowhead seeks an Office Assistant to join our team in Plano, TX. The manufacturing facility is the office of our Manufacturing & Products group and this person will be responsible for all office duties to keep that group running smoothly and effectively. The Office Assistant will join a team of individuals in the facility and must be a go-getter with a can-do, proactive and customer-service oriented attitude.
Essential functions will include:
- Interfacing with vendors, repairman and facility landlord regarding any repairs or preventative maintenance items
- Coordinate office meetings and customer visits
- Purchase and replenish office supplies
- Print shipping labels and ensure packages are sent as needed
- Attend safety committee meetings and track to-do items
- Pick up and distribute mail daily
- Balance company credit card and petty cash on a monthly basis
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required however, an Associate’s degree or any additional education is desired
- Additionally, qualified candidates must have to two to five (2-5) years of similar, professional experience
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 10-20 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
