Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Manager Server Infrastructure, and working closely with Systems Administrators, the Microsoft O365 Administrator is responsible for the effective configuration and management of our Microsoft O365 environment, including the Exchange Online system. In addition, the O365 Administrator will administer and maintain our Mobile Device management solution Intune and Kanji. They will assist with the management of our Active Directory\Azure Active Directory and will act as a back-up for other members of the ITS server group, a cross-functional team responsible for the technical support and administration of MBI server infrastructure.

Advanced Technical Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Exchange Online system, including all related email services.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft O365 environment (Email, Teams, OneDrive, etc.) for staff.
  • Manage Active Directory and Azure Active directory functions, including account provisioning.
  • Administer and maintain mobile device management solution (Intune and Kanji)
  • Assist with installation of new servers and upgrades of existing servers (both virtual and physical).
  • Assist team members in resolving system outages, security issues, and other required technical support. Perform server maintenance, new installations, and upgrades.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the duties and responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in administering Microsoft Windows 2012, and 2019 Server operating systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in administering large, hybrid O365 and Microsoft Exchange environments.
  • Experience working with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell in a business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to resolve system outages, where responsible; determine, locate, and correct hardware/software problems; document and prevent recurrence.
  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of server types including database, email, print, and web.
  • Experience and skills in security best practices, including but not limited to: server patches, update management, and alert response.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using the English language with or without the use of auxiliary aids or an interpreter.
  • Team player. Ability to work cooperatively with others and contribute to a diverse workplace.
  • Ability and willingness to work off-hours, including evenings and weekends, and to be on call for emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires an Associate's Degree in a technology-related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years' work experience in server administration in a large, enterprise environment.
  • At least two years of this experience to include the administration of both Microsoft O365 and Microsoft Exchange in a hybrid (cloud/on-premise) environment.
  • At least two years of this experience must include hands-on experience administering Active Directory/Azure Active Directory in a Windows 2012, 2016 or 2019 Server environment.
  • At least one year of demonstrated proficiency scripting with PowerShell in a business environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in Microsoft 365, Exchange, MCSA, MCSE, SQL or VMWare.
  • Hands-on, professional experience in any of the following:
  • Windows 2012, 2016 or 2019 Server
  • Cloud platforms: Azure, Google, or AWS
  • vCenter and VMware
  • SharePoint/SharePoint Online Experience
  • Multifactor Authentication Management
  • Backup applications, including Druva,
  • Other related systems administration experience


COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $72,207- $108,335. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
