Ocular Laboratory Technicianat The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration
The Eye-Bank seeks full-time Laboratory Technicians to perform all tasks related to ocular donations and transplants in compliance with state and federal regulations and national standards.

Role Description:
- Performs enucleations and in situ corneal excisions
- Evaluates, processes and distributes tissue for transplantation and research
- Provides daily, weekly and monthly laboratory maintenance
- Follows Universal Precautions whenever handling donor tissue and/or other bio-hazardous material
- Communicates with other EBAA accredited eye banks to obtain corneal tissue, as needed
- A valid driver license is required.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry or Natural Sciences and basic laboratory experience. The ideal candidate will have previous work experience using aseptic techniques and performing medical chart reviews.
The available shift:
- Monday through Friday 4 pm to 12 am
The position requires a commitment to work at least two on-call shifts per month and three holiday shifts per year.
