Position Type: Full-time, Permanent, Direct Hire Location: Stamford, NY (26 miles east of Oneonta, NY - between Oneonta and Albany)

We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a dynamic role in a 120-bed long-term and short-term facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist (OT) to establish effective rehabilitation plans.
• Select therapy activities in accordance with guidance from the OTR/L, tailored to residents' needs and capabilities.
• Assist residents in their daily activities, providing necessary support.
• Monitor and encourage residents during therapy activities.
• Instruct residents on the use of specialized equipment for daily functions.
• Supervise and ensure proper execution of residents' activities.
• Report resident progress to the OTR/L.
• Document treatments and outcomes accurately in rehabilitation software.

Who Will Be a Great Fit?  

• Graduate of an accredited OTA Program.
• Current New York State OTA License.
• Experience in a long-term care setting is advantageous.
