Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' functional limitations and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance patients' independence in daily activities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Provide patient and caregiver education on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home exercise programs.
- Administer therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, and cognitive function.
- Utilize assistive devices and adaptive equipment to facilitate patients' engagement in daily life activities.
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy and contribute to the development of best practices within the healthcare team.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and in-service training programs to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Washington state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Clinical experience in evaluating and treating patients with a variety of physical and cognitive conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance patients' independence.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Commitment to ethical and regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance.
