Overview:
Position Summary: The Occupational Therapist II develops and delivers occupational therapy services to patients specific to age and developmental level by assessment, program planning, provision of treatment. Provides functional supervision to occupational therapy personnel assisting in patient treatment. Provides instruction to assigned occupational therapy interns on clinical observations and affiliations.
Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year full time experience as an OT I, or equivalent, treating pediatric patients. Hospital based experience preferred. Broad knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices and CHLA patient care policies and procedures.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Graduation from an approved School of Occupational Therapy. Certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy or eligibility for certification. Licensure by the California Board of Occupational Therapy. Current American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider CPR certification. Certified Hand Therapist highly preferred.
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
