Hours: Full Time and Part Time available
As an Inpatient Occupational Therapist (OT), you'll work one-on-one with hospitalized patients to bring them a sense of normalcy and independence through self-care management and Activities of Daily Living. You are comfortable communicating and educating patients, family members, and caregivers on how to best assist with daily routines. This role gives you the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure the best and most evidenced based practice for our patients.
Clinic Information: PT Solutions Physical Therapy partners with Adventist Health Bakersfield to provide quality occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology for patients with a vast range of medical diagnoses. Adventist Health Bakersfield is a 254-bed inpatient, Acute Care, level III trauma center that holds Joint Commission accreditation for Primary Stroke Center and Sepsis. It accredited for Chest Pain Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and Commission on Cancer. Adventist Health Bakersfield is also a Blue Distinction Center+ for both knee and hip replacement and spine surgery. As a clinician here you will work with an interdisciplinary team and evaluate, treat, and reassess patients in all areas of the hospital. Adventist Health Bakersfield is 100 miles north of Los Angeles and home to the famous Kern River.

Your Responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist - Inpatient/Acute Care
Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient empowering them to previous level of functioning or proceed to next level of care
Establish timely treatment plans for each patient's specific needs
Demonstrate a positive connection with patient, fellow clinicians, and other team members
Build and maintain relationships throughout the hospital (I.e. physicians, case management, nurses, etc)
Qualifications
Graduate ofanAOTA approvedoccupationaltherapy program
State Licensure
Registered with NBCOT
Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
Compensation
Estimated at $90,000-$130,000 annually (this does not include the available incentives and sign-on bonus)
