- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, and physical therapists, to deliver integrated care and achieve client goals.
- Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate clients and their families about injury prevention, energy conservation, and strategies for managing daily activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of clients at all times.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in occupational therapy techniques, research, and regulations through continuous professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
- Previous experience in providing occupational therapy services, preferably in a home care or community setting.
- Solid knowledge of various physical, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions and their impact on occupational performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Proficiency in using electronic documentation systems and basic computer applications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
- CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations.
