Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Washington area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to individuals of all ages, promoting independence and improving their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to identify patients' needs and develop customized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patients' functional abilities in daily living activities.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends, best practices, and advancements in occupational therapy through continuous professional development.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards, as well as all relevant policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Washington.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Compensation:
