Qualifications:

You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in occupational safety and health topics, such as (programs including but not limited to safety and health management systems, fall protection, confined space entry, arc flash and flash fire, electrical safety, safety inspections, and safety audits); knowledge of current and future impacts to Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulatory compliance; emergency preparedness and continuity of operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
