Full Job Description:
VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a committed and compassionate LPN or RN with Occupational Health experience to support the onsite workplace Occupational Health for a private business in Independence, MO. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assessments in connection with injury on duty evaluations, which includes obtaining doctors' notes and test results.
- Scheduling appointments for fitness for duty evaluations.
- Conduct pre-placement physicals and annual physical evaluations.
- Ensure that all new hires are evaluated/assessed in a timely manner.
- Administer various examinations/tests including EKG's, spirometry, vision testing, audiograms, respiratory fit testing, phlebotomy and vital signs.
- Support DOT physical exam.
Requirements:
- Active RN or LPN license in MO. COHN is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in performing nursing assessments in Occupational Health, will also consider surgical nursing experience.
- Familiar with OSHA standards.
- Familiar with DOT Physical Exam.
- Must be proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
- BLS Certification.
- Customer service-oriented, able to work independently, have great 'bedside' manner.
- Proficient with computers and documenting in EMR systems.
- Must be up to date with Covid-19 vaccines including booster vaccine.
