Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager, assists with clinical and patient care activities on the Outpatient Observation Unit.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must possess one of the following:
- Current certification to practice as a paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Current National Registry Certification as a paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
- Three years of equivalent clinical work experience.
- 1 year as an ED Care Assistant and enrollment to begin final year of an accredited school of nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of direct patient care experience.
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) experience.
- Patient transport experience.
