We have a tremendous opportunity for a Nutrition Manager to join the Hillside team! You will be responsible for overseeing the nutrition care of children and youth within our agency. You will supervise the Nutrition Staff and incorporate nutrition assessment, development of nutrition diagnosis and the implementation and monitoring of nutrition care for HFA children/youth in collaboration with departmental employees and pertinent members of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.

Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the nutrition care of children/youth residing at HFA within the RTF, RTC and OPWDD program
- Collaborate with staff in other programs to provide direction related to nutrition care
- Supervise the nutrition staff in their roles with children/youth and families
- Conduct nutritional assessment of HFA children/youth by using accurate and relevant data and information to identify nutrition-related problems

- Document nutrition care statements that are clear, concise, specific to client or staff as appropriate, based on reliable and accurate data and according to the documentation requirements outlines in established Hillside policy and procedures
- Collaborate with nurses, clinicians and other pertinent members of the interdisciplinary treatment team using the documented information as well as attending treatment meeting or health rounds when indicated and appropriate
- Perform appropriate and identified nutrition interventions or assigns the nutrition care that others provide in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations
- Actively lead and move special projects forward and other duties as indicated as part of the Nutrition and Food Service management team
- Assist with the creation of menu that provides meals/snacks that meet the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the National School Lunch and School Breakfast and Snack Program
- Develop therapeutic menus for children/youth who require therapeutic nutrition care
- Purchasing of food at a supermarket may be required in certain circumstances
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Food Service or related field of study
- 1-3 years of experience in Clinical, Behavioral or a School Food Service Program
- 3-5 years of manager experience is preferred
- Registered Dietitian certification required. NYS Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist preferred
