Job Summary and Qualifications
What you will do in this role.
- Ensures accurate staffing and census records.
- Acts as in-house resource for staff, patients, visitors, and physicians.
- Assists units and families with patient expirations.
- Responds to potential and/or actual emergency situations with direct and appropriate actions.
- Coordinates transportation for transfers and/or admissions.
- Obtains and communicates bed assignments utilizing the bedboard system.
- Demonstrates ability in using hospital information systems.
- Demonstrates knowledge of processes to use when diversional status is requested.
What qualifications you will need:
- Nursing graduate with RN diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing.- Required
- Four years experience as a Registered Nurse with demonstrated proficiency in leadership, management skills, and critical care experience. Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or currently enrolled in a program of study obtaining a BSN. Preferred
- Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, or active compact RN license .
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
