I.Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Responsible for delivery of optimal services for patients and physicians in conjunction with OR Shift Supervisors and Specialty Coordinators and ancillary departments. The primary responsibility of this position is the daily surgical schedule. Is Liaison and representative for the Nurse Manager and the Administrative Director. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care appropriate to the ages of patients served. This position services the following populations: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Education Qualifications - List the minimum education, training, and experience required to perform the essential functions of the oosition.
Required Minimum Education: 2 Year/ Associates Degree
Specialty/Major: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Preferred Education: 4 year/ Bachelors Degree Specialty/Major: Peri-Anesthesia or Critical Care areas
Licensing/ Certification - If registration, certification or licensure is required, include the name of the accrediting or licensing body.
Licensure/Certification Required: CPR, ACLS and PALs
Licensure/Certification Preferred: BSN preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 3 years as a professional Peri-Anesthesia Nurse
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Must attain and maintain PNAP level II by the end of 120 days (if a
challenge date is available) or then by the end of the tenth month (or next review date) of being in the position.

Preferred: CAPA or CPAN certification
