Job Description
Job Title: Nursing Manager/Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Manager/Director to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. The incumbent will oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and strive to maintain the highest standards of nursing practice. The Nursing Manager/Director will also be responsible for optimizing efficiency, managing budgets, and fostering a positive work environment that promotes professional growth.
Responsibilities and Duties:

6. Oversee nurse performance evaluations, mentorship programs, and professional development initiatives.
7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as adherence to hospital or healthcare facility policies.
8. Manage nursing budgets and resources, identifying cost-saving measures without compromising quality of care.
9. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, excellence, and professional growth.
10. Serve as a resource for nursing staff, providing guidance on complex patient care situations or ethical dilemmas.
11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to enhance the overall patient experience.
12. Stay updated with the latest research, advancements, and best practices in nursing management.
13. Handle patient complaints and grievances promptly and effectively, ensuring resolution and continuous improvement.
14. Participate in nursing education programs, conferences, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
15. Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the nursing field.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
2. Valid nursing license in the state of practice, with prior managerial experience.
3. Proven track record in nursing management or leadership roles, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
4. In-depth knowledge of nursing regulations, standards, and best practices.
5. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse nursing team.
6. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
7. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficient in using healthcare software, electronic medical records (EMRs), and other relevant technology.
9. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, physicians, and senior management.
10. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
11. Knowledge of financial management and budgeting principles.
12. Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high standards.
13. Ability to handle stressful situations and make sound judgments under pressure.
14. Proactive approach to identifying and addressing inefficiencies or challenges in nursing practice.
