Summary of Duties:
The Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing a Washington Career Launch program, Nursing Bridge, to connect high school students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) Skills Centers to WSU Tri-Cities for two years of job-embedded learning and paid internships in partner health care agencies while they complete pre-requisites for the WSU College of Nursing Prelicensure BSN program. This position will be responsible for building the program based on project aims; liaising with health care agencies, Educational Service District 123, and other partners to establish this Career Launch program in accordance with state guidelines for Career Connected Learning Experiences; and working with WSU Tri-Cities faculty and administration to align coursework and course offerings to teacher preparation coursework and work-based education standards.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience with organization and coordination of multifaceted projects, such as meeting planning, unit organization, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education and/or with K-12 school systems. Experience with compliance and federal or state program coordination.
Effective communication skills.
Experience working with diverse and underrepresented student populations.
Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment and leadership, including the ability to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Position Type: This is a temporary 18-month position.
Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on June 30, 2025. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
