Previous experience in a horticulture-related field preferred but not required. Main aspects of the job will be assisting in digging and planting trees, loading mulch, soil, stone and trees on and off trucks, and help with watering and plants and trees.
Starting pay is $18-$22 an hr based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Move and organize materials within the yard using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with various equipment and supplies
- Operate commercial vehicles, such as box trucks or vans, to transport materials to and from job sites
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized yard area
- Assist with inventory management and stock control
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other yard equipment preferred but not required
- Commercial driving experience, including operating box trucks or vans preferred but not required
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently and effectively
- Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial
Skills:
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory management
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and drivers
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
