University of South Florida Tampa General Physicians (USFTGP) was created through an advanced affiliation between The University of South Florida and Tampa General Hospital to provide advanced care to patients and their families throughout Florida. Specialties include cardiology, endocrinology, hepatology, organ transplantation, pediatrics, primary care, neurology, OBGYN, neurosurgery & orthopedics.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current state of Florida RN license.
Experience: Minimum 1 year nursing experience in a physician's office or clinic experience in an ambulatory health care facility preferred. BLS/AED certification is required and must be maintained. ACLS or PALS certification preferred.
Business Skills: Knowledge of basic organizational tasks and patient care management skills with demonstrated specialty competencies. Ability to recognize and report abnormal symptoms of patient conditions. Ability to administer medication injections as ordered, within scope of your practice. Phlebotomy skills preferred, demonstrated competency required within 90 days. Aseptic technique preferred, demonstrated competency required within 90 days. Adept at electronic medical record and proficient in computer skills, including Windows and MS Office.
