Nurse Practitioner-Women's Health

Under limited supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols, performs work of considerable difficulty requiring independent application of professional judgment, experience and skills in the area of family planning, sexually transmitted infections, adult immunizations, and women's health care. The nurse practitioner services will be provided to health departments in the 16 counties of the Southeast Health District.

Doctorate or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia license as an APRN AND CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Public Health experience and Women's Health experience.

40-hour work week (Monday - Friday), 13 paid holidays/yr., 3 weeks each of annual & sick leave/yr., a defined benefit retirement plan including a 401(K) plan with a matching employer contribution, health and payroll deductible flexible benefits including employee, spouse and child life, AD&D, dental, vision, legal, long term care, short and long-term disability and specified illness options are available. Also, medical/childcare spending accounts can be established in addition to deferred compensation - 457.
