The Nurse Practitioner role involves the proficient management and coordination of patient care within their assigned population. Universal Health is committed to providing comprehensive training, shadowing experiences, and oversight by a Medical Director to ensure our Nurse Practitioners are well-prepared and supported. We equip our Healthcare Providers with the necessary resources to meet the diverse needs of their patients.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver exceptional and appropriate patient care.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, collaborating physicians, and the Director of Nursing (DON) regarding patient care.
- Conduct patient rounds, contribute to daily care decisions, write orders, and facilitate scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Record daily visit notes in an electronic medical record in a timely manner, with dictation services available.
- Maintain accurate records related to professional services, including attending to billing reports, claims, and correspondence.
- Provide services as requested by UHC or as required by bylaws, policies, rules, or regulations of UHC or any affiliated healthcare facility.

Education and Experience:
- One year of relevant experience preferred.
- Nursing experience in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, ICU, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, or General Practice preferred.
- Current Medical License in State in which you are applying, and unencumbered DEA License required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
License/Certification:
- Nurse Practitioner License (Required)
