Department: MED-Urology Salary/Grade: EXS/8 Job Summary: The Nurse Navigator for Clinical Trials serves as a vital link between healthcare providers, patients, and clinical trial opportunities. This role involves educating patients about available clinical trials, providing support, and ensuring seamless coordination throughout the trial process. We are focused on bolstering recruitment of ethnic racial minorities and on those who have health literacy gaps.

Target hiring range for this position will be between $67,978-$95,595 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Specific Responsibilities: Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about the purpose, benefits, and potential risks of clinical trials.

Explain eligibility criteria, treatment options, and informed consent processes in a clear and compassionate manner. Assessment and Support: Assess patients' medical history, needs, and preferences to help identify suitable clinical trials. Offer emotional support and address patients' concerns or fears related to participating in trials.

Coordination and Communication : Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify appropriate clinical trials for eligible patients. Facilitate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and research teams. Informed Consent: Assist patients in understanding and signing informed consent documents.

Ensure that patients are fully informed about their rights and responsibilities within the trial Follow-Up and Monitoring: Maintain regular contact with patients throughout the trial to monitor their progress and address any issues. Coordinate necessary appointments, tests, and procedures related to the trial. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, trial information, and outcomes.

Assist in data collection and reporting metrics that allow us to track our progress. Advocacy and Resources: Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system and research community. Provide information on support services, financial assistance, and resources available to trial participants.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in clinical research, therapies, and trial opportunities. Attend training sessions and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills. Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances) Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.

Strong clinical knowledge and experience in healthcare Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong Experience with recruitment or clinical care of ethnic minority patients Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
