Job Description
Job title: Nurse Manager ICU/CCU
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). The Nurse Manager will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of ICU and CCU protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the ICU and CCU
2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
3. Ensure that all nursing staff adhere to hospital policies and procedures
4. Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
5. Provide guidance and support to staff members to promote a positive work environment
6. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff
7. Manage department budgets and resources effectively
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
- Valid RN license with at least 5 years of nursing experience in an ICU or CCU setting
- Previous leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards
