Job Summary: The Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse who ensures quality of patient care. Primary functions are to administer skilled nursing care for hospice and palliative appropriate patients either in their place of residence, a skilled nursing facility or an assisted living facility. Duties of the Nurse Manager may also include administration of the clinical department and monitoring of appropriate staffing and productivity. Monitoring QAPI issues and directing clinical staff with regard to the Hospice policies and procedures. Coordinating care with the Interdisciplinary Team, patient, family and referring agency.

Job Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
Licensure: Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), current Driver’s License.
Experience: Minimum two years of hospice experience as a registered nurse preferred. Management experience preferred.
Skills: Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrates proven decision making skills. If required to make visits, proof of current CPR certification.
Transportation: Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
