Work hours: Mainly daylight hours. Additional availability as needed by the departments overseen.
Responsible for the operational and human resources aspects of the Critical Care/Open HeartDepartment including the Stepdown Unit Department. Works closely with the Vice President Patient Care/CNO and DON to monitor fiscal responsibility. Provides professional leadership in his/her designated unit to assist with the daily operation of the unit, which includes adequate staff coverage, evaluation of personnel, evaluation and maintenance of equipment and development, implementation, and evaluation of policies to facilitate patients in a safe and cost effective manner.
Requirements
• Must be a graduate of a professional school of nursing with current Pennsylvania licensure.
• Undergraduate degree (e.g., BSN) or within one year of degree completion.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role.
• Must possess professional and effective communication skills and work compatibly with all customers.
• Must be adaptable and facilitate change.
• Proficiency in the use and application of personal computers. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

• Management experience in the applicable clinical setting.
