Nurse LPN or RN Youth Residential Pool

Eastway Behavioral Healthcare is the largest, private, not-for-profit provider of mental health, substance abuse, housing, residential, employment and educational services in the Miami Valley. Our Dayton based Northcutt Residential Treatment Center is seeking a Child and Adolescent Nurse (LPN or RN) to work with boys age 6-12 who have mental health and behavioral health issues as a result of childhood trauma.

The ideal candidate will be creative and energetic with the capability of remaining calm in stressful situations. The candidate most enjoy working with kids and being part of behavioral healthcare team that helps each other do their best.

Job Duties: The primary focus of this job is to assess and evaluate client needs for boys as related to service planning efforts to assure that medical and mental health issues are addressed. In addition, this position will follow physician’s orders and provide pertinent information to other treatment disciplinary for the progress of client’s treatment as well as bring medical concerns and suggestions regarding ongoing treatment and discharge plan to treatment team.

Other: Caring and empathetic person who understands the high prevalence of traumatic experiences in persons who receive behavioral health services. Knowledge of children who have experienced complex traumas, mental health and substance abuse issues. This position also requires candidates to pass Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training, which requires individuals to be physically capable of sustained, intense exertion.

Certification/License: LPN or RN

This position is work: Full-time and Pool LPN or RNs and is very rewarding. Shifts are 12 hours in length starting at 6PM-6am.
