Nurse Aide Trainee Program

Have you always wanted to work in the medical field but you weren’t sure you could commit to the curriculum? Try our Nurse Aide Trainee program. You will be hired as a Unit Helper then will go into our paid CNA Training Program to get certified as a CNA.

We are currently looking to fill our next training class. Availability is very limited. Most applicants will be waitlisted for this class but will automatically be enrolled in the following class. Prior to starting class, you will be employed as a Unit Helper to assist with our current CNAs.

Here are the details:

• $14.20 starting pay while working as a Unit Helper and during the training program
• $16.07-16.15 per hour upon completion of the course
• Shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd range from an additional $1.10-1.50 (once the course is completed)
• Unit Helper role is first shift between the hours of 6a-8pm
• Classes are held M-F 6a-2:30p for 4 weeks (40-hours a week)
• Samaritan covers the cost of the course (to include learning materials, first set of scrubs, and New York State testing fee)
• $500 bonus six-months after accepting a CNA position
• You will train in the facility that you will be placed in

Applicants will complete the prescreening questions in Indeed. Interested candidates will then be invited to complete an application and attend an information session to get a better understanding of the program and the CNA role. If selected to participate in the program, successful applicants will receive a conditional offer of employment as a Unit Helper, will be required to pass NYS Department of Health stipulations, and must pass a pre-employment drug test and employee health physical.

A year commitment is required upon completion of program.
