Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations and scans using specialized equipment and radioactive materials. Your expertise in Nuclear Medicine procedures will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Duties:
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic purposes
- Operate imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners, to capture images of organs and tissues
- Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions during imaging procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their safety throughout the procedure
- Analyze images to identify abnormalities or areas of concern
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and dosage administered
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Nuclear Medicine technology and techniques
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred
- Proficient in performing Nuclear Medicine procedures, including PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid scans
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to Nuclear Medicine
- Familiarity with X-Ray, mammography, sonography, CT scans, and other imaging modalities is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately analyze images for abnormalities

Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N) or equivalent
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice
