Our Diagnostic Imaging Staff plays a vital role of the overall care process that patients receive at Southview Medical Group, P.C.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Explain procedures and evaluate patients basic health prior to radioactive administration, perform QC on dose calibrator and SPECT cameras, calibrate and administer radiopharmaceutical to patients for diagnosis, perform Nuclear Medicine procedures and process images for interpretation, perform daily QC (wipes and surveys) in accordance with the NRC, send/process/import reports into PACS system for nuclear cardiologist, perform radiation survey and maintain ALARA according to radiation safety guidelines, perform venipuncture on patients, maintain certification as required.
Work hours can vary slightly depending on daily patient volumes , but would be between the hours of 7AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday.
Southview strongly prefers that candidates have good critical thinking/decision making skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to interact professionally with physicians, patients, co-workers, and management. Due to the high volume usage of Electronic Health Records, it is required that candidates have a strong background utilizing computers in a working environment.
ARRT(N) or CNMT credentials required as well as BLS Certification. Venipuncture experience required.
Our Nuclear Medicine Department is comprised of 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologists, 1 Nuclear Medicine Treadmill Nurse, 2 cameras, and 1 treadmill.
