Description
The candidate shall support the entrance of new launch service providers and new satellite programs across all areas of OSL as a means to streamline and mitigate, to the greatest extent possible, the projected rise in the cost of our launch vehicle and space vehicle services. The contractor shall provide integration and engineering support tasks to include:
- Develop introductory and OSL capabilities briefings for new satellite programs.
- Monitor developments in the launch and aerospace industry that will afford launch opportunities for NRO small satellites.
- Support definition of new NRO launch vehicle requirements or changes to existing NRO requirements to support new satellite programs.
- Provide engineering support to the initial phases of integrating new or experimental satellite programs onto a launch vehicle including technical support to the selection of a specific launch vehicle and the initial plan for the overall integration process, as directed. This activity may include support to Source Selections and Independent Program Assessment teams.
- Provide support in evaluating launch vehicle new entrant's ability to provide launch services to the NRO. Assist in updates to policy which addresses certification and acquisition of new entrants.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, or comparable technical experience.
- 10+ years experience and must possess a working knowledge of the Space Force Satellite Control Network and Satellite Control Network-like Antenna Architectures.
- Applicant must possess excellent written and communication skills.
Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
