Job Title: Team Lead
Department: Operations
Reports To: Janitorial Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary Coordinates with supervisor and performs the activities of personnel in housekeeping and/or paint department cleaning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure pick-up and distribution of supplies and equipment
- Responds to customer calls
- Monitors work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel. Informs supervisor of any issues that may occur
- Monitor work areas, and examine tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules
- Monitor employees’ work levels and work performance. Advises supervisor of any deficiencies or issues
- Examine areas of responsibility and relay information to determine additional needed services or issues.
- Assist employees to correct task or job-skill deficiencies.
- Stage materials and supplies, such as tools and equipment.
- Perform daily visual inspections of work performed
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Replace light bulbs.
- Cuts and trim grass, and shovels snow.
- Delivers messages.
- Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
- Sets up tables and chairs in the auditorium or hall.

Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
