Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver (Own Wheelchair Van)

Buscamos choferes por toda la Florida que quieran unirse a nuestro equipo de trabajo. Para aplicar es necesario lo siguiente:

1) Tener un vehículo tipo van, adecuado para transportar pacientes en sillas de ruedas.

Las furgonetas para transportación ambulatoria de pacientes en silla de ruedas deben priorizar algunas características que garanticen una experiencia segura y cómoda para los pasajeros. Aquí hay un desglose de algunos requisitos clave:

· Espacio interior y seguridad: La camioneta necesita una altura mínima de techo de 1 m 42 cm para brindar un amplio espacio para la cabeza. Además, el sistema de despliegue del elevador debe tener características de seguridad como un bloqueo del motor que evite que el vehículo se mueva mientras el elevador está en uso.

· Capacidad y funcionalidad del elevador y rampa de sillas de ruedas: El elevador de sillas de ruedas o rampa en sí debe ser robusto y estar certificado para soportar al menos 272 kilos. La plataforma debe tener al menos 76 cm de ancho y 1 m 21 cm de largo, con una superficie antideslizante y pasamanos para mayor estabilidad. El funcionamiento del ascensor debe ser suave y controlado, y debe contar con medidas de seguridad como barreras antivuelco automáticas.

· Aseguramiento de sillas de ruedas y seguridad de los pasajeros: Cada posición designada para sillas de ruedas requiere un sistema de aseguramiento que cumpla con estándares específicos. Estos sistemas deben colocarse cerca de la entrada accesible y deben poder impedir que la silla de ruedas se mueva excesivamente durante el transporte. Además, se requieren cinturones de seguridad o arneses para los hombros para asegurar tanto al pasajero como a la silla de ruedas.

· Accesibilidad de la puerta: La puerta de entrada para sillas de ruedas debe tener al menos 1 m 42 cm de alto y una abertura libre de al menos 76 cm de ancho. El umbral de la puerta también debe estar libre de obstrucciones y tener un mecanismo para mantener la puerta abierta cuando se despliega el ascensor o la rampa.

Todos los conductores deben aplicar procedimientos de seguridad al subir al pasajero al vehículo, así como apoyo o asistencia física al salir del vehículo mediante un elevador o rampa para sillas de ruedas.

2) Licencia registrada en la Florida.

3) Seguro Full Cover.

4) Registración del vehículo vigente

5) Motor Vehicle Record y Background Check limpios. (Requerido por la empresa)

6) Certificación en CPR and First Aid, Defensive Driving, Passenger Assistance y CTAA Wheelchair.

7) 10 Panel Drug Test NEGATIVO.

8) Medical Screening Certification.

We are a company dedicated to transporting patients from their homes to their medical appointments and vice versa.

We are looking for drivers throughout Florida who want to join our work team. To apply you need the following:

1) Must have a van-type vehicle, suitable for transporting patients in wheelchairs.

NEMT Wheelchair Vans must prioritize some features that ensure a safe and comfortable experience for passengers. Here's a breakdown of some key requirements:

• Interior Space and Safety: The van needs a minimum ceiling height of 56 inches to provide ample headroom. Additionally, the lift deployment system must have safety features like an engine interlock that prevents the vehicle from moving while the lift is in use.
• Wheelchair Lift / Ramp Capacity and Functionality: The wheelchair lift or ramp itself must be robust, certified to handle at least 600 pounds. The platform needs to be at least 30 inches wide and 48 inches long, with a non-slip surface and handrails for added stability. The lift operation should be smooth and controlled, and it must have safety measures like automatic anti-roll-off barriers.
• Wheelchair Securement and Passenger Safety: Each designated wheelchair position requires a securement system that meets specific standards. These systems should be positioned near the accessible entrance and must be able to restrain the wheelchair from excessive movement during transport. Additionally, seat belts or shoulder harnesses are required to secure both the passenger and the wheelchair.
• Doorway Accessibility: The wheelchair entrance door needs to be at least 56 inches high and have a clear opening of at least 30 inches wide. The doorway threshold should also be free of obstructions and have a mechanism to hold the door open when the lift or ramp is deployed.

All drivers must apply safety procedures while loading the passenger into the vehicle, as well as, physical support or assistance as they exit the vehicle using a wheelchair lift or ramp.

2) License registered in Florida.

3) Full Cover Insurance.

4) Valid vehicle registration

5) Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background Check. (Required by the Company)

6) Certification in CPR and First Aid, Defensive Driving, Passenger Assistance and CTAA Wheelchair.

7) Drug Test with NEGATIVE results.

8) Medical Screening Certification.

The company will provide the driver with the economic investment of the following necessary documents: background check, motor vehicle record and drug test.

The respective courses (CPR and First Aid, Defensive Driving, PASS and CTAA Wheelchair) are the responsibility of the driver and must be sent during the application process.

Payment is made as follows:
