Job Summary:
The NDT Technician will ensure joining methods meet specifications by using various NDT inspection methods. The NDT Tech will document findings in an electronic database system and trend any problems found and notify the supervisor of team leader in the area.
Fundamental Production Skills Applicable to Daily Work
• 5S Basics - Can recognize, act, and maintain perfect 5S
• Support dynamic and reactive joining events
• Measure dimensions of workpieces to ensure conformance using electronic equipment, calipers, micrometers, head height gauges, templates, rulers, etc.
• Perform quality checks as prescribed and report issues to Team Lead
NDT Technician Skills Applied in Daily Work:
• Ability to self start and create process improvement processes
• Utilize various NDT methods to perform assigned tasks
• Work with standardized processes to meet KPIs
• Ability to recognize material trends to better understand why weld nuggets could be imperfect
• Evaluate the product and processes to secure Quality (right from me)
• Ability to produce transparent documentation
• Ability to read and understand Control Plans with verification at station on effectiveness with feedback to Joining Engineer
Skills Required:

• BMS (researching best practices, VCMS)
• SBS Toolbox
• NDT Equipment program
• Microsoft Windows

• VIRA (system usage and quality of information entered)
• ATACQ (Data gathering and analysis)

• Experience with all types of NDT equipment

Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED
• No Written Corrective actions or above in last 12 months
• Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Must meet physical requirements such as lifting and moving up to 33lbs., standing for extended periods, bending, squatting or kneeling
• Must be able to travel up to 4 weeks overseas and work OT (daily, weekends, off shifts) based on project activity needs.
