Non-clinical Medical Case Manager
- Location: 194 Winthrop Street, Camp Keyes Building 7, Augusta, Maine 04333.
- Schedule: The candidate shall provide services between the core work hours of 0700 and 1700 from Monday to Friday.
The schedule excludes recognized US holidays and government facility/installation closures due to emergencies, administrative closings, or Government-directed facility/installation closings.
The candidate should maintain an adequate workforce for uninterrupted performance when the government facility/installation is not closed.
Candidates are expected to provide services during Medical Readiness Events (MRE) weekends, which typically occur from November to April or during annual PHA time.
One weekend per month will be required during MRE weekends, while weekends will not be required for the rest of the time.
Candidates should not exceed 40 hours in a week or 80 hours over a two-week period.
Job Overview:
As a Non-Clinical Medical Case Manager, you will be responsible for tracking the medical status of assigned soldiers, coordinating treatment plans, managing soldiers' care, educating them on available resources, reviewing health assessment lab results, and preparing medical documentation for Line of Duty (LOD) investigations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Track the medical status of assigned soldiers and coordinate treatment plans.
- Manage soldiers' care from identification of conditions to medical readiness or administrative separation.
- Educate soldiers on available resources to improve medical and dental readiness.
- Review and track health assessment lab results.
- Prepare medical documentation for Line of Duty (LOD) investigations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's (required) or master's degree (preferred) in a human service related field which includes: psychology, education, counseling, social services, sociology, family and consumer sciences, criminal justice, rehab services, child development, substance abuse, gerontology, and vocational rehabilitation and two (2) years of paid post degree experience providing case management services.
- A currently licensed nurse (RN or LPN) with two (2) years of paid post degree experience providing case management services.
- A currently licensed social worker (RSW, CSW, LMSW, LCSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and two years of paid post degree experience in providing case management services.
