Job Description
Drivers will conduct rental equipment deliveries and pickups utilizing a company-provided pick-up truck and trailer. Maintains records of deliveries and pick-ups, as well conducts inspections of the equipment before and after the pick-up. Will conduct pre operational inspections on company trucks and trailers prior to taking it on the road to ensure it is safe to drive. This position requires the operation of a company vehicle during company time, and you will be subject to a MVRs (Motor Vehicle Records) Check on initial hire and annually to verify you have a valid acceptable driving status.

Non CDL - Equipment Delivery Driver
- Transport, deliver and retrieve assorted rental equipment.
- Operate non-commercial vehicles in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
- Promote professionalism and an excellent customer service attitude.
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained during the workday and are available for inspection upon request.
- Apply knowledge of driving and/or commercial driving skills in maneuvering at various speeds in difficult locations, heavy traffic, and inclement weather.
- Secure rental equipment and other equipment by means of chaining, strapping, and blocking under the strict accordance and established procedures of the Department of Transportation (DOT) policies.
- Maintain open communication with the branch manager and/or central dispatch for delivery schedules.
- Observe safety rules and regulations at customer job sites, facilities, and other Teja's Equipment Rental related facilities.
- Provide training assistance for customers by answering general questions regarding the safe operations of vehicles, tools, or machinery.
- Report any damage to equipment or vehicles that is uncovered during the process of picking up the equipment from the customer to the Branch manager.
- Report all accidents to Branch Manager and Safety Manager.
- Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions, or any other problems relating to timely pickups or delivery of equipment
- Maintain flexibility in your daily routine to respond to management's responses to customer's demands.
- Performs other related work as required.
