Responsibilities
In the role of Noise Specialist 1, we'll count on you to
- Conduct noise acoustical and/or vibration studies on various projects
- Assist in the preparation of data collection from the field and subconsultants, and develop noise reports
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
- Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior scientists on larger projects
- Interact with staff and work with local regulators and subs
- Work on architectural acoustics, building or environmental noise, and vibration-related analyses
- Use state-of-the-art instruments to measure noise and vibration, and to process and analyze that data is required
- Perform other related duties as necessary

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Math, Physics or closely related field
- GIS understanding and GPS
- Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with state-of-the-art software used to process and analyze measurement data
- Must also be familiar with relevant ISO and related acoustical standards
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
