Form of workInspectors report directly to the QC/HSE Manager. The QC/HSE Manager has the authority to monitor inspector output and insure their products meet quality standards. If situations arise where an inspector believes the QC/HSE Manager directive is in conflict with company policies and procedures, he may consult the Plant Manager for a resolution to the problem.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting threaded parts to meet specifications set forth by the company and API Specification 7-2.
- Visual inspection upon receipt.
- In-process and finished product inspection.
- Complete understanding of the Inspection Program as specified in NOV Tuboscope Vol. VI New Rotary Shouldered Connections.
- Meeting established company production goals.
- Report problems to responsible management levels.
- Complete inspection reports.
- Responsible for enforcement and compliance with NOV HSE policies at this facility.
- Inspector will be trained according to facility training matrix.
- Receiving material that arrives during night shift
- Shipping material as needed on night shift
- Scoping in rush material (this will typically be rush jobs for tools)
- Expediting rush jobs on night shift
- Executing the schedule on night shift
- Create production packets for 24-hour rush jobs that arrive on night shift
- Reply to customer night calls, primarily through operations
- Serve as the Point of Contact for Operations and Quality during night shift operations
Qualifications and Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
- 2-3 years of Manufacturing Experience is required
- 1-3 years of Management Experience is required
- Lathe machinist experience is preferred but not required
- Physical stature must be such that the individual can operate a machine eight (8) to ten hours per day.
- No reoccurring physical problems that could be aggravated by this type of work
- Must have ability to learn to operate applicable measuring and testing equipment.
- Average ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Must be able to comprehend applicable threading-related SOPs.
