Job Overview:

Duties:
- Conduct thorough research to gather information on news topics
- Attend press conferences, events, and interviews
- Write clear, concise, and engaging news articles
- Fact check information and verify sources
- Edit and proofread articles for accuracy and clarity
- Collaborate with photographers to obtain visuals for news stories
- Utilize social media platforms to share news content and engage with readers
- Stay updated on current events and trends in order to pitch relevant story ideas
- Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards

- Strong writing skills with the ability to write in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
- Excellent fact-checking abilities to ensure accuracy in reporting
- Proficient in proofreading and copy editing for grammar, punctuation, and style consistency
- Ability to effectively communicate with sources, colleagues, and the public
- Knowledge of photography techniques for capturing visual elements of news stories
- Experience in social media management for promoting news content and engaging with readers

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
