About this Position:
The New Model Delivery Unit Leader is responsible for leading the New Model development activities across the HDMA Region through execution and understanding of the Global and North American supply base, New Model development schedule, and critical delivery part/tooling maturation elements. Manage key business plan themes and initiatives for achievement of Center, Business Unit, Division and Department objectives. Responsible to develop and maintain both productive internal and external organization relationships. Manage and lead the Unit/Team resolution of significant supplier Delivery issues. Manage team business results, organization structure, associate training and development, and associate career growth and opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee implementation of business plan, themes, and strategies for the Unit. Implement multi plant theme activity for the commonization and sustainability of activities across the Unit. Implement change by engaging associates in creating and implementing characteristic improvements.
- Define R&R and staffing requirements for Unit, staff to budget. Assess and balance team workload. Distinguish performance and evaluate associate development (team requirements., weak performers, growth potential), building talent through mentoring, performance feedback, and development training.
- Manage achievement of KCP & Business Plan targets and initiatives. Analyze results and lead team in countermeasure development for Unit improvement.
- Build a network of productive relationships across HDMA to achieve Unit plans and targets. Apply key customer (upstream, downstream, and end-user) viewpoint in all Unit activities. Develop and execute strong internal and external organization relationships.
- Optimize and leverage departmental resources to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of a diverse and inclusive organization. Embrace challenges and continually develop self-awareness and leadership capability.

Who we are seeking:
Required Experience:
- Successful completion of degree program & equivalent years of experience in industry,
- 10-12 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality Control or Engineering experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Purchasing, Supply Chain or related field
Other job-specific skills:
- Demonstrates leadership skills, effective delegation skills, gap analysis, problem solving, setting goals, and achieving results.
- Basic computer skills including email, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to develop and present reports, representing company direction and work in cross-functional teams to build consensus
Additional Position Factors:
- International travel may be required once or twice a year with an average length of 1-2 weeks per trip (5%)
- Regional domestic travel may be required quarterly with an average length of 2-3 days per trip
- Open office environment with moderate level of noise and activity.
- Hybrid work based on management discretion and operating needs.
- Regular occurrence of communicating and presenting information in groups for evaluation purposes.
