This role is remote and requires occasional travel to any FreedomCare location nationally when necessary, estimated at 4-6 times per year.
Department & Position Overview:
FreedomCare is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization committed to the development and success of its employees. We are seeking a dedicated New Hire Success Manager to join our Learning and Talent Development (L&TD) team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful onboarding and integration of New Hires while leading a team of cross-functional trainers and collaborating with stakeholders at FreedomCare and BPO partners.
The New Hire Success Manager is responsible for driving the success of New Hires within our organization. You will collaborate closely with the instructional design team to develop and implement effective onboarding and training programs. This role involves leading a team of trainers, mentoring them, supporting BPO initiatives, and evaluating New Hire performance during their first 180 days to identify opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Strategy: Collaborate with the instructional design team to develop a comprehensive training strategy for New Hires, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of cross-functional trainers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to enhance their training capabilities and ensure consistent training delivery.
- New Hire Onboarding: Oversee the development and implementation of onboarding programs that facilitate a smooth transition for new employees, ensuring they are well-prepared to excel in their roles.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders at FreedomCare and BPO partners to understand their unique New Hire needs and customize training programs accordingly.
- Performance Evaluation: Evaluate New Hire performance during their first 90 days, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Partner closely with people leaders and People Business Partners to develop action plans to address performance gaps.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement feedback mechanisms to gather insights from New Hires and trainers, making continuous improvements to the onboarding and training processes.
- BPO Support: Collaborate with BPO partners to ensure that training materials and processes align with their requirements, facilitating effective knowledge transfer.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training programs, evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on the effectiveness of onboarding and training initiatives, providing regular updates to leadership.
Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Formal education required in a related field (Organizational Leadership, Instructional Design, etc). Will consider equivalent experience (training, business, operations, leadership, program management).
- 5+ years' experience in learning program design and management.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team of trainers.
- Project management, program design/management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience successfully planning, managing and delivering concurrent work streams within a matrixed organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to think big-picture and comfortably make recommendations.
- Consultative approach; ability to partner with front line and senior leaders to identify key competencies required for New Hire Success
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation and facilitation skills across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to positively influence, collaborate and gain buy-in quickly.
- Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Experience designing fun, interactive, training programs using a variety of mediums (virtual, in-person, on demand, etc.).
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing strategies and priorities.
