Hatch is currently seeking a New Graduate – Junior Engineer with an interest in Nuclear Energy and Power Systems for a full-time position starting in May 2024. You will work on a variety of nuclear projects and all sectors within Power (nuclear, thermal, and eGrid which encompasses renewables, hybrid power, transmission & distribution, and grid modernization).
Responsibilities:
- Solve challenging problems pertaining to nuclear energy technologies and power generating systems
- Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- Actively participate in the creation of the deliverables, technical reports, and presentations to clients
- Assist in the research and development of energy technologies
Qualifications:
- A recent or soon to be graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Strong academic record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams
- Commitment to achieving engineering excellence
- A desire to learn and continually develop

Responsibilities Include:
- Assist the Lead Structural Engineer in developing project scopes, engineering estimates, capital cost estimates and developing repair methodologies
- Apply Civil / Structural engineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions to design problems in a multidiscipline project environment
- Design structures and components
Requirements in general for all sectors:

- Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects.
- Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
- Coordination with other technicians/engineers on projects
