• Mid: $42.92 per hour (10 years of experience)
• Max: $54 per hour (20 years of experience)

Night Shift Differential: $3.75 per hour

Weekend Shift Differential: $4.30 per hour

Shifts Available:

• Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Rotating weekends)

As a Neuro Trauma ICU RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment. Our 34-bed unit offers a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and specializes in treating various neuro and trauma cases, including coiling procedures, clot retrievals, cerebral angiograms, and more. Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
• Administer medications, dressings, wound care, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide cardiopulmonary management and monitoring.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of interdisciplinary patient care.
• Monitor and document patient conditions using computerized systems.
• Educate and instruct patients and families.
• Coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.
• Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• BSN Required - Magnet Facility
• TX RN or Compact State Licensure
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• PALS certification within 6 months
• CCRN specialty certification preferred
• NIHSS Stroke Cert obtained within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience in an acute care setting (2 years preferred)
• Neuro ICU experience is a plus
• Ventilator and Drip experience required (willing to train for the right attitude)
