Network Technician

Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a network technician located at the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division in San Antonio, TX. This position will support the delivery of information operations capabilities for the 16 AF and Air Combat Command.

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX

JOB STATUS: Full time

TRAVEL: Approximately 50%.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS and current recent SCI access

US Citizenship is required for all applicants

EDUCATION: BA/BS

CERTIFICATIONS: DoD 8570 IAT level II required.

CCNA or CCNP preferred.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 10 years of relevant experience, of which 3 or more must be in DoD; or 15 years in lieu of BA/BS, of which 5 or more years must be in DoD.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

A self-starter who can operate independently.

Experience with Cisco and Juniper equipment.

Familiarity with Windows and Linux desktop operating systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform network installations in remote locations.

Install and configure Cisco and Juniper equipment.

Advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and / or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information, voice, data, and / or video formats.

Analyze and recommend network requirements.

Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure.

Analyze network workload.

Monitor network capacity and performance.

Diagnose and resolve network problems.

Recommend network backup and recovery procedures.

Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software

Ensure the rigorous application of information security / cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
