Responsibilities
The One 23 Group is seeking a Network Systems Administrator (Journeyman), local to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area, with an active Top Secret clearance. The Network Systems Administrator, Journeyman shall have experience providing direct on-site/off-site support for deployment of information technology (IT) equipment dispatched to critical incident sites and to special events.
- Duties Include:
- Maintaining security (e.g., LAN firewall and LAN load balancer security), equipment (e.g., Site to Site VPN and THUB network), VTC service, servers (e.g., Internal Proofpoint Mail and Cisco ISE), and Cloud technologies using best practices.
- Managing and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers, VTC equipment.
- Ensuring physical, virtual, and cloud devices as well as applications and services are monitored as well as alerts generated, at a minimum as applicable for up/down status, CPU, Memory, Temperature, Power Supply Status, Critical Interfaces.
- Creating IPSEC and DTLS tunnels for components in ZIA.
- Monitoring the health of the entire Zscaler infrastructure, including VMs, logging and cloud access.
- Foundation and/or follow-on:
- Experience with Cisco Cloud Services Routers (CSRs) and Azure Portal, Proofpoint Mail Servers, Cisco ISE Servers, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- Implementing customer's image for Windows 10 or newer.
- Minimizing optimization of end users' images.
- Providing a method/system for determining application transaction rate that will be used to monitor and manage the transaction rate of all JMD applications.
- Participating in on call rotation.
- Required:
- 3-5 years' of relevant IT experience.
- Experience in Network Design, Architecture, Engineering, or Security.
- Experience in analyzing network.
- Experience and understanding of Cisco switching, routing, firewalls, Intrusion Detection System, and network management and monitoring including OPNET.
- Experience and understanding of DNS, email, web, and file proxies.
- Must possess at least one (1) of the following, or other relevant certifications:
- Zero Trust Container Architecture (ZTCA)
- Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator - Internet Access (ZCCA-IA)
- Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator - Private Access (ZCCA-PA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Data Center)
- CISSP (Associate)
- Cloud+
- IAT L3 or higher, and/or IAM L3 or Higher
- Desired:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
