- Project/Role Description:
- Bedroc is seeking a Network Support Engineer to support a long-standing clients environment and end users
- This role is remote in nature and work hours may fluctuate depending on stage of projects
- The role requires a high level of end user interaction and ability to work with nontechnical users in a supportive nature
- Logistics:
- 100% Remote
- Contract role
- will begin as a month to month role
- 3rd party, c2c, or Visa Sponsorship is unavailable at this time
- Technology Overview:
- DNS(cloudfare and others)
- VPN Configuration and troubleshooting
- Traffic/bandwidth through various firewall(Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, etc) configurations and troubleshooting
- Scheduling of IT sessions with local IT staff for connectivity verification and troubleshooting
- Must have technical and soft skills:
- 5+ years in enterprise level network engineering
- Customer focused is key for this role – supporting nontechnical users
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on fixing the issues at hand vs volume, quick, or short term fixes
- Willingness to conduct phone-based support with end users
- Requests for support come in via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- May need to be available for 1st and 3rd Friday cutover sessions and/or occasional ad hoc needs
