Description
Trust Technology Solutions is seeking a Network Security Engineer II.

Duties include:

• The administration and monitoring of the organization's local and wide area networks
• Investigating network and security related alarms and alerts
• Responding to service requests
• Remediating internal and external threats, vulnerabilities, and malware
• Collaborating with peers to complete project work as assigned
• Mentoring and cross training team members

Requirements

• 4+yrs of experience working in a Network Security capacity, where the responsibilities included management of *Cisco* routers, switches, and firewalls
• Comfortable with the command line interface of Cisco devices. Good understanding of common configuration and show commands
• Good understanding of the OSI model, IP subnetting, L2 and L3 configuration on Cisco devices (routing protocols, VLANs, spanning tree, etc.)
• Able to quickly read a routing table and understand what path traffic will take and why
• Good understanding of DNS and how this relates to troubleshooting
• Experience reviewing network and/or security logs using a SIEM or log management product, such as Splunk / Splunk Enterprise Security
• Experience with at least one web filtering product, such as Cisco Umbrella
• Knowledge of Network Security best practices, Network Security attack vectors, and possible remediation methods
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to learn and work independently with limited direction
• Applicant must reside in the Kansas City metro area or be willing to relocate at own expense
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience is required and those without a CCNA will be expected to be certified within 6 months

2-3 year's experience with 3 or more of the following solutions:

• Cisco routers
• Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches
• Cisco ASA or FTD / Firepower firewalls
• Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center (Firepower Management Center)
• Cisco ISE , 802.1x
• Cisco IPSEC and/or SSL VPN's
• Cisco collaboration products: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Presence, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX), Cisco Expressway
• Cisco wireless products
• Cisco Meraki products

Exceptional candidates will also have experience with one or more of the following:

• Corporate antivirus or anti-malware solutions.
• Cisco Secure Network Analytics (Stealthwatch)
• Cisco Secure Endpoint (AMP for Endpoints)
• Cisco Umbrella
• Cisco Duo Authentication
• Splunk
• Splunk Enterprise Security
• Juniper, Palo Alto, or other vendor firewalls
