A Day in the Life:
The Network Security Engineer is a key member of the Cyber Security & Compliance organization to monitor internal and external security threats and risks, provide in-depth analysis, and remediate to return Hertz to normal business operations.
As part of a global team, you will be one of the technical leads for Network technologies, focusing on the security stack while also supporting the Hertz data centers and corporate head quarter's network. You will be working on day-to-day operations and key Network Security infrastructure projects. Aligned with Enterprise Security Architecture standards, you will be working with existing and new Network technologies which add value to the global business and global information security strategy.
What You'll Do:
NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER
- Responsible for ensuring the network is built securely. Ensure mechanisms in place to identify and remediate network vulnerabilities.
- Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats.
- Network Threat intelligence.
- Network Penetration Test and Vulnerability Scans against Network Field infrastructure.
- Work with a team of Cloud Operations to architect and secure AWS Network.
- Ensure compliance and security of public cloud properties.
- Develops standards, policies and procedures best practices documentation.
- Act as a security liaison and present security architecture along with Network Teams in periodic Architecture Review Board meetings.
What We're Looking For:
- 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology with demonstrated proficiencies in Networking and Cyber Security.
- Firewall design, implementation, and maintenance of traditional and NextGen Firewall technologies (Cisco/Checkpoint/Fortinet)
- VPN design and operational support
- Working knowledge of in the following areas: Router/Switch, SD-WAN, Wireless, Network Management
- Experience with connectivity and security to the public cloud
- Experience of working according to ITIL processes, e.g. Incident Management, Change Management.
- Knowledge with network automation/scripting and related tools (Ansible/Terraform/Python/etc)
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, CISSP and SANS/AWS certifications are a plus
We expect the starting salary to be around $115,000 with annual bonus and profit sharing eligibility. The actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience
