Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Network Engineer with a Secret Clearance to support Kadiak, LLC and our government customer in Redstone Arsenal, AL. This is a hybrid on/off-site position.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Provides Network Engineering and design support for new network architecture requirements and/or changes to existing network architecture. Provide updated network diagram within 72 business hours of any change.
- Provide AWS GovCloud Network Engineering and design support for the Virtual AWS GovCloud.
- Performs network troubleshooting to resolve complex network hardware and software problems and optimize local area network performance.
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment components IAW with system’s design. Provide updated network diagram within 72 business hours of any change.
- Install, configure, and administer network switches and routers (fiber and copper) as required. Provide updated network diagram within 72 business hours of any change.
- Configure, maintain, and administer network performance monitoring tools and applications.
- Perform daily routine monitoring of all network components. Provide bandwidth and data usage reports monthly to each program.
- Configure virtual local area networks (VLANs) IAW program’s architecture/network design. Provide updated network diagram within 72 business hours of any change.
- Configure, test, and manage firewalls, load balancers, traffic analyzers, WAN accelerators, etc. IAW program’s architecture/network design.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Candidates must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance
- CCNP, CISA, CISSP (IAT-III certifications required)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP
- In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, and printers
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
- Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-FI and security infrastructure.
- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms.

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
